WIREFALL’S NEW TRACK “I STAND” IS NU-METAL MAGIC
The Polish rockers in Wirefall have a killer new single titled “I Stand” ready to wreck your headphones. This three-minute collision of nu-metal and alternative rock is loaded with late-’90s and early-2000s DNA, but still sounds sharp, modern, and massive thanks to slick 21st-century production.
Crushing riffs straight out of an Ozzfest side stage kick the track off before it pivots into a funky, hip hop-infused verse that feels ripped from the golden era of rap-rock. Then comes the chorus, and it’s huge. Walls of guitars crash into layers of synths and samples while the vocals bounce between aggressive yells and soaring clean melodies built to be screamed back live.
The hook of “I stand back up” hits especially hard, riding atop a locked-in rhythm section, crunchy riffs, and what sounds like either DJ scratches or a Tom Morello-inspired guitar freakout. It’s the kind of moment that instantly triggers nostalgia for anyone raised on early Linkin Park, Papa Roach, or prime-era Ozzfest bands, while still feeling fresh enough to stand on its own.
