Casey Lee Williams’ ethereal vocals lead the charge with a vocal power that gives you goosebumps. Similar to recent releases like “22,” OK Goodnight absolutely indulges in sounds that go beyond traditional genre markers. Their iconic math-rock sound dominates, while glimmering shards of indie pop poke through at times. The melodic hardcore elements of the wavy guitar and slamming drum breaks cement this presence. Even through the symphony, though, there’s a bit of whimsy that gives it an atmospheric feel.
