The Active Set brings 20 years of wisdom into “Uncomfortable,” the final release of their new, explosive album ‘Death Of A Friend.’ The three-piece takes on an alt-rock indie sound in this track, featuring an incredibly dramatic, emotional breakdown.

It has that instantly addicting melodic guitar riff, with Midwest emo sparkles that add an emotive element. The backing bass meshes so well with the guitar's bright tones. There’s never a dull moment in the song; it’s constantly changing.

The lyrics are relatively straightforward, with themes of restraint in a world where you just want to surrender. It’s that fatigue after wearing a mask for so long – when you eventually reach the point where you simply “can’t go on like this.”
