SUEPRHEAVEN RELEASES STUNNINGLY EXISTENTIAL NEW SINGLE “STARE AT THE VOID”

With political dread causing existential turmoil, many feel uneasy—but nobody has captured these feelings quite like Superheaven. Their latest single, “Stare At The Void,” rounds out their next LP by vividly encapsulating extraordinary human experiences through the lens of gaze-y guitar riffs.

A soulful 4/4 beat carefully carries the track. Though subtle, the drums stand out in this song; “it’s always hiding in plain sight,” after all. This subtle choice allows other elements to take center stage while remaining expressive, keeping audiences drawn into heavy-yet-necessary lyrical themes.

Gorgeously melodic lead vocals glide over each note. However, the singer’s pain and anger are palpable thanks to his delivery. It’s not just his impressive range or breath control that makes the performance noteworthy, but the way he evidently feels what he’s singing. You can’t replicate soul through technical skill or prowess.

Finally, a few guitars are distorted just right; they’re crisp, like a perfectly chilled apple on a scorching summer day. Again, it’s nearly gaze-y. Not full-throttle gaze…but CLOSE. The chug in the verses does the trick just right, giving way for later belts punctuated by heavier drums.

This appears to be the end of Superheaven’s LP rollout. “Stare At The Void” showcases a promising era for Superheaven, where honesty and vulnerability are bright, shining stars. The song is hard to forget—once its messaging and melodies are caught in your head, it’s nearly impossible for them to get out!
