RED LIGHT ACID TRIP’S NEW SINGLE “SKIN ON SKIN” IS MASTERFUL GRUNGE ROCK

Rock fans rejoice, Red Light Acid Test have just dropped their smoldering new single, “SKIN ON SKIN.” This ultra-moody slow burn is loaded with devious blues swagger, headbanging backbeats, and enough sleaze to make the whole thing feel slightly dangerous.

It’s hard to tell what’s more seductive on Red Light Acid Test’s latest: the dizzying bass grooves, hypnotic guitar leads, or infectious vocals that feel tailor-made for a massive sing-along. At times, “SKIN ON SKIN” sounds like an unearthed grunge anthem pulled straight from a mid-’90s time capsule. Red Light Acid Test could’ve absolutely held their own alongside Helmet and Stone Temple Pilots back in the day. That’s all we’re saying.

But the track doesn’t stay planted in the ’90s for long. That grungy foundation eventually morphs into a filthy, sweat-soaked barroom jam, giving the song an entirely different attitude without losing its bite. Imagine if Guns N’ Roses never stopped partying, or if Queens of the Stone Age exclusively played biker bars, and you’ll start to understand the kind of sound Red Light Acid Test brings to the table.

“SKIN ON SKIN” is bluesy, dirty, ridiculously catchy, and just sleazy enough to make you want to turn it up a little louder than you probably should.
