POOR FRISCO RELEASES NEW TRACK "SKY AND THE BEAST"
NYC based frontman singer Trey Durst has reunited with a group of talented musicians from his college days who have bonded over the same musical influences, coming together to ultimately form Poor Frisco and releasing their third single “Sky And The Beast” as the emotional penultimate climax of their debut EP ‘Sky Of Gold.’
This amazing self-loathing track has the old indie alternative feel that I have been searching for since the last two Strokes albums. It begins with indistinctive background voice chatter slowly transitioning into the verse with a relaxed chorus midtrack making the listener reflect on life itself without being another brick in the wall; mostly thanks to the upbeat feel that takes place halfway through the song, and Durst’s soothing raw tone makes it an apodictic track to listen to all the time, even at the most awkward of times it is the best to listen to when you need to decompress and take a lengthy drive into elation.
Poor Frisco has their foundation set already and their new EP ‘Sky Of Gold’ is already sounding like a huge success, and the group of fans that they’ve garnered in a small period of time will be wanting more from them in the following months and years. I can confidently say I’ll be keeping my eyes peeled for these guys because I am impressed with the track they have revealed and do not forget to listen to “Sky and the Beast” out now! Enjoy.
