IGUANA DEATH CULT CHARGE FORWARD ON NEW SINGLE “RECKLESS RUNNING”

Dutch rock outfit Iguana Death Cult have returned with “Reckless Running,” a sharp, kinetic new single that arrives alongside an equally restless visual.
Known for their wiry blend of garage rock, post-punk, and off-kilter indie, the band leans fully into momentum here. “Reckless Running” feels exactly like its title suggests. It moves fast, hits hard, and rarely looks back. Angular guitars slice through a tightly wound rhythm section, while the vocals carry a detached urgency that keeps the track teetering on edge without ever losing control.
There’s a rawness to the arrangement that works in its favor. Nothing feels overly polished or restrained. Instead, the band let the tension build naturally, pushing the track forward with a sense of unpredictability that recalls their earlier work while still feeling dialed in and intentional.
The accompanying video leans fully into the band’s offbeat sensibilities. It plays like something David Lynch and John Waters might cook up together inside a public-access station after pushing things way past the normal limits. It’s strange, a little unsettling, and completely locked into the song’s chaotic energy.
The single also arrives ahead of the band’s upcoming LP Guns Out, due April 10 via Greenway Records and The Reverberation Appreciation Society, further signaling a busy stretch for Iguana Death Cult.
