INDCENT BEHAVIOR BRINGS STADIUM POP-PUNK FROM GERMANY IN NEW SINGLE, “I FELL IN LOVE EVERY WEEKEND”
There’s a huge pop-punk scene in Germany right now. I’m not sure what caused it, but something in their brewskis got them hating their hometown and filled them with general angst. Indecent Behavior is making significant waves globally, touring with huge names like Neck Deep. They’ve earned that spot, with their new single, “I Fell In Love Every Weekend,” sharing the same stadium-loud sound as their contemporaries.
The introductory acoustic guitar adds striking contrast to the loud, distorted electric guitar in the chorus. “I Fell In Love Every Weekend” crescendos gracefully from the verse to the chorus. This build exemplifies the chaotic feelings of internal changes, best described by the concept of finding a new partner every weekend. Though I believe Indecent Exposure was mainly focused on growing pains lyrically.
It’s fascinating to see how different countries approach a sound as distinct as pop-punk. Every German pop-punk band I’ve heard so far has been excellent, with their fresh voice adding depth to the genre’s renaissance. I’m not sure if that’s thanks to a strong, core, local scene or something else entirely. Regardless, German pop-punk offers even more angst, loud guitars, and initial spirit than when the movement began.
“I Fell In Love Every Weekend” is both catchy and instrumentally strong. Lead vocals capture a healthy-sounding belt paired with a unique perspective, resulting in a killer track. Indecent Behavior is already making huge strides at home, but with music like this, they will certainly cross global borders in time.
