“I WANNA BE FAMOUS” BY SEA GLASS IS A BREATH OF FRESH OCEAN AIR
Sea Glass is the brainchild of musician Jake Muskat, based in New York. His song, “I Wanna Be Famous” sounds like a salty ocean breeze on a summer day, so it appears he picked the correct stage name.
Muskat was inspired to make music after the birth of his daughter, who makes some special secret cameos throughout the song. He has a full LP coming soon, and if it has this vibe throughout the whole thing, it’s set to be a great one.
His tongue-in-cheek lyricism is topical, as the concept of celebrity is changing significantly before our very eyes.
He muses, “I wanna be famous, then I’d stop complaining.”
Sarcastically, of course. We have learned from Weezer’s Beverly Hills and others who discover what exists beyond the Walk of Fame.
Muskat’s single is not only catchy but immaculately executed, with sweet guitar melodies guiding the light-handed rhythm section.
