HOTHEAD WAVE BRINGS GRUNGE BACK TO INDIE ROCK IN THEIR NEW SINGLE “HERE”

Hothead Wave is a true indie unit from Nashville, and beyond. Their eclectic indie-rock sound puts grungy guitars at the forefront, expressing a unique new vibe in their song “Here.” Lead vocalist Lizzy Cruz offers gritty, powerhouse tones that are emotional yet strong.

The song is about self-doubt, but with a hopeful undertone of a promising future guiding the way. She asserts that while she may have gotten herself into a situation that is less than ideal, there is always a way out if she perseveres. Loud, stadium-ready guitars guide the lyrical storytelling effortlessly, conveying emotions that can’t quite be expressed with words.

The theme of “Here” is the core of Hothead Wave’s mission statement. Cruz’s Peruvian roots have instilled a sense of responsibility within her; she is determined to embrace cultural diversity and use that drive to tell important stories in her music.

“Here” is a great starting place for new Hothead Wave fans, and a love letter to diehard ones who have followed their journey. In this life, everyone has the potential to get back up again after they fall, and this song is an anthem for anyone who needs that reminder.
