FOOTBALLHEAD RELEASES REVAMPED REMASTERED VERSION OF “LIKE A BLISTER” AS THE THIRD SINGLE FROM THEIR DEBUT LP

Footballhead began as the solo project of lead vocalist Ryan Nolen. Taking inspiration from 90s alt-rock and 2000s emo, Footballhead incorporates several different moving parts to create a cohesive whole. This is made possible with a little help from his friends, who have become permanent fixtures in the group. Collaborative efforts prove to be entirely worth it for Footballhead, with each key player’s unique skills bringing something different to the table.

Initially released independently, the LP “Overthinking Everything” has received some deserved TLC. The band landed a sweet deal with Tiny Engines, an independent record label based in the Carolinas. The remastered version of “Like A Blister” allows the original work to shine brightly, given the band’s new resources.

This version features clear, crisp vocals, giving the song’s initial meaning to take center stage. Moody production choices, like layered guitars showcasing different tonal elements and a haunting bassline, tie everything together.

The group’s inherent chemistry is a quintessential feature of their recordings. While the first rendering of this song was good, a few new resources give Footballhead the freedom to be great.
