On the brink of releasing her fourth studio album "Souvenir", alt-folk artist Irene Skylakaki releases her newest single "Thank You. For Good Science". Starting her career in London, and moving to Athens, the singer-songwriter tends to write songs that are known for their deeply personal and emotionally revealing lyrics, and "Thank You. For Good Science" has no struggle rising up to that challenge.

Lyrics "There is a place I like to go to/ When I feel low/ A little coffee shop inside my brain's black hole", set up the scene that's embellished in the deep-rooted sonic undertone of her minimalist-style production. The beats open up for her vocals, which are pulled toward the front of the track, as mumbled background vocals dance around the dreamy synth lines.

"During the lockdown, I had to leave London and come back to Athens,” says Skylakaki, so I worked on a few songs remotely with Scottish musician, friend, and producer lain Gordon Smith. I'm really happy with the outcome".
