CASABLANCA DRIVERS GET TRIPPY ON LATEST SINGLE "205 502"
Hailing from the land of wine and cheese (and overly aggressive bike races) comes the French indie-psych band Casablanca Drivers. Formed in 2012, the band consists of duo Nicolas Paoletti and Alexandre Diani, both singers and guitarists, and both have an uncanny talent for delivering enticing music.
The duo’s latest track titled “205 502” is an auditory exploration of what it means to sound empirical while having a destination. Mashed with an onslaught of tweaky guitar effects and layered synths, the sound is heavy and dominant. If Phoenix and Tame Impala got together and had a COVID baby, Casablanca Drivers would be the product. Fun fact: the track’s sound engineer is James Ireland (producer and member of Australian band Pond).
Delving into more detail about the new release the band says, “Like the three previous singles, the song keeps on with blending elements of pop and indie rock combined with saturated guitars and synths. An electric adventure to a mystical hotel that the band invites us to discover. The song's dynamic also owes a lot to James Ireland, music producer and instrumentalist from famous Australian band Pond who mixed the track”.
Even with only a minimal amount of years as an official duo, Casablanca Drivers are destined to reach levels of music greatness. Keep your eyes and ears locked onto these guys - they’ll be the next big act before you know it.
