FUNEBRARUM DROP “FROM ROTTING BURIAL SHROUDS”

New Jersey death metal band Funebrarum just dropped a new track, “From Rotting Burial Shrouds,” the second single off their upcoming album Beckoning the Void of Eternal Silence, out May 29 on Pulverised Records.

This one hits right away. It moves a little faster than some of their slower stuff, but still has that same suffocating weight. Blasts come in hard, then it settles into that mid-tempo groove before dragging you through slower doom sections. It feels like everything they’ve always done, just locked in tighter.

The guitars sound grimy and thick, the drums keep shifting gears without losing that heavy stomp, and the vocals feel buried in the mix in the best way. Nothing clean, nothing polished. Just raw and ugly in the way you want from this band.

The band said the song pulls from all their early elements, and they’re not wrong. It’s got that mix of chaos and slow burn that makes their stuff hit different.

Lyrically, it goes deep into that underground horror vibe. Ancient forces are waking up, crawling out of tombs, taking the world back. They called it a full-on headbanging slaughter, and honestly, that’s pretty accurate.
