DEAD SUMMER UNLEASHES PENT-UP FRUSTRATION AND ENERGY ON “BLOOM” ROCKING OUT WITH APLOMB

Dead Summer sounds like their influences, and there’s some truth in advertising comparing themselves to and being in excellent company with White Stripes and Queens of the Stone Age, among others.

Nate Prevedoros and Michael Wilford are the cranking duo that make up Dead Summer and hail from Victoria, BC, Canada.

Their sound is strong and heavy but punctuated by big, generous choruses and blazing riffs that crackle with dynamism and excitement. The boys play their asses as if their life depends on it with a sinewy swagger and nerve.

Lyrically, “Bloom” speaks to a generation of young people who find going into adulthood can be scary because life itself is uncertain and doesn’t come with guarantees. “Bloom” explores a free fall of sorts, venturing into unknown territory that is something complicated to navigate.

“Bloom” is an exhilarating rollercoaster ride of song, taking the listener on an unforgettable adventure through the wilderness of transition and perhaps a transformative experience.
