BOUQUET TAPS INTO LONGING ON DREAMY INDIE ROCK TRACK “MOON WAS MADE”

“Moon Was Made” has a vintage and nostalgic sound, utilizing a retro Linn Drum Machine. The listener can hear an old Roland rhythm and the presence of white-noise hi-hats. The warmth of analog marks it, and a broad spectrum of elegance is similar to Broadcast and old Beach House.

The L.A.-based duo Carol Pennypacker Riggs and Max Foreman return to their musical project, Bouquet, after a decade with their soon-to-released album, ‘Spellbreaker.’ In the meantime, fans of the duo can enjoy “Moon Was Made.”

This entrancing single, which opens ‘Spellbreaker,’ is a “poetic meditation on finding a connection, getting clarity, dealing with awkward feelings, and coping with the emotional dislocation of one’s longing.

Who has not looked to the heavens for answers? Bouquet has. Pointing to the stars in the sky, Riggs and Foreman conjure up beauty and quiet intensity coupled with a subtle, gentle yearning that expresses vulnerability on “Made Was Made.”
