EXCIDE UNLEASH INTENSE NEW SINGLE “YOUR FLOWERS” WITH VISUALIZER
Carolina post-hardcore unit Excide have returned in full force, sharing a gripping visualizer for their explosive new single, “Your Flowers.” Known for their frenetic sound and emotional intensity, the five-piece outfit delivers a track that’s equal parts fury and finesse—filled with razor-sharp riffs, an absolutely crushing breakdown, and a chorus that demands to be shouted back at full volume.
More than just a heavy-hitting anthem, “Your Flowers” is a personal gut-punch. “This song is all about feeling deceived, manipulated, and taken advantage of,” the band shared. “We put so much of ourselves into what we create, and only ever want it to have a fair shot out in your world.” That raw emotion bleeds into every second of the track, which the band describes as just the beginning of something much bigger. "It survived many obstacles to see the light of day today. We can't wait to share more with you all soon."
The single marks the start of a new chapter for Excide, one they’ve clearly been building toward with intention. Since first emerging in 2020 with genre-defying projects like Two of a Kind and Actualize / Radiation Reel, the band has carved out a space uniquely their own. Their 2022 debut full-length Deliberate Revolver earned praise from outlets like Brooklyn Vegan, Revolver, and Stereogum, helping them land a deal with Sharptone Records and setting the stage for their next evolution.
That next phase kicked off in 2024 with the Humdinger two-pack, which included the fierce tracks “Dis(re)member” and “All Down (But 9),” praised for their 90s-infused hardcore bite and post-hardcore dynamism. Critics were quick to take notice—Stereogum declared, “Both of its tracks go hard,” while No Echo hailed the band’s unique energy and explosive style.
With “Your Flowers,” Excide isn’t just continuing that momentum—they're leveling up. It’s a confident, cathartic blast of emotion that serves as a mission statement for what's to come: something big, something personal, and something entirely on their terms.
As the band puts it: “When you take a risk, it either pays off or it doesn’t. No matter what, it’s worthwhile. There are so many deep-cut gems out there because of artists who were willing to risk it all. We hope you walk away from this inspired to take a chance and do more. You never know what might happen.”
