BAD SUNS DROP DREAMY NEW SINGLE “MYSTERY GIRL” AHEAD OF NEW ALBUM ACCELERATOR

Bad Suns by Jaxon Whittington

With their highly anticipated new album Accelerator arriving August 8 via Epitaph, Bad Suns have unveiled their latest single, “Mystery Girl,” a glossy, dream-laced track that expands the band’s ever-evolving sound. Blending melancholic lyricism with shimmering production, the song feels tailor-made for hazy summer nights and wistful late-night drives.

Accompanying the single is a striking new music video directed by Andy DeLuca (known for his work with 5 Seconds of Summer, and more). The video matches the song’s mystique with surreal, neon-drenched visuals and a cinematic edge that adds to the emotional undercurrent. It’s a perfect visual extension of the track’s sense of searching and seduction.

Musically, “Mystery Girl” finds frontman Christo Bowman navigating themes of longing and illusion, all wrapped in the band’s signature mix of indie-rock pulse and synth-soaked atmosphere. The track shows Bad Suns continuing to evolve without losing what makes them instantly recognizable—lush arrangements, big hooks, and a sleek sense of style.

“Mystery Girl” follows a string of singles from Accelerator, each teasing a more refined, emotionally resonant direction for the Los Angeles quartet. And with their U.S. headlining tour set to kick off this fall, fans won’t have to wait long to see these new songs come to life onstage.

Between the upcoming album, the fall tour, and the captivating visuals courtesy of DeLuca, Bad Suns are launching into their Accelerator era with confidence, creativity, and undeniable momentum.
