ARSON IGNITE THE HARDCORE SCENE WITH FEROCIOUS SELF-TITLED DEBUT LP

Southeast hardcore newcomers arson have officially arrived, and they're making one thing abundantly clear: they're not here to appease you.
The band has unleashed their self-titled debut full-length through New Morality Zine, delivering eight blistering tracks that tear through speakers in just over eleven relentless minutes. Short, violent, and unapologetically raw, arson is a furious statement from a band determined to strip hardcore back to its most primal form.
Featuring veterans of the heavy music scene, including members of Colonial Wound, former members of Excide, and Show Me Mary, arson brings years of experience into a project that feels both fresh and uncompromising. Rather than chasing trends or polished production, the band embraces chaos, crafting songs fueled by dense riffs, unsettling experimental textures, and gritty, throat-shredding vocals.
Every second of arson feels intentional. The record wastes no time, moving from one crushing assault to the next while packing more intensity into eleven minutes than many albums manage across an hour. It's hostile without becoming repetitive, memorable without sacrificing brutality, and cathartic in the way only truly great hardcore records can be.
At a time when hardcore continues reaching wider audiences than ever before, arson choose to dig beneath the surface, embracing the genre's DIY ethos and uncompromising roots. Their debut doesn't aim to be accessible. Instead, it challenges listeners with suffocating atmosphere, relentless pacing, and an unwavering commitment to sonic violence.
The band's lineup features Jeremy Atkins (vocals), Benjamin Clifton (guitar), Jose Gonzalez (bass), Nate McKinley (guitar), and Austin Parson (drums). The album was recorded, mixed, and mastered by John Howard at War House, whose production captures every jagged edge without sacrificing the band's raw energy.
To celebrate the release, arson will make their live debut this weekend with performances in Jacksonville, Florida, and Charleston, South Carolina, giving fans their first opportunity to witness the band's explosive sound in its natural habitat.
For hardcore fans craving something raw, abrasive, and refreshingly uncompromising, arson is a debut that demands attention.
