156/SILENCE ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM FROM A DISTANCE, DROP “NO ARMS”

156/Silence are back, and they’re not easing into it. At all. Like holy f**k.
The band has officially announced their forthcoming album From A Distance, set for release on Friday, September 4 via Pure Noise Records. Alongside the announcement comes the first taste of what’s ahead: a crushing new single titled “No Arms,” paired with an official music video that doubles down on the band’s unrelenting intensity.
If “No Arms” is any indication, From A Distance is shaping up to be one of the band’s most focused and punishing releases to date. The track hits immediately, balancing chaotic, jagged aggression with a tighter sense of control, showing clear evolution. It’s abrasive, it’s urgent, and it doesn’t let up.
Vocally, the delivery feels more desperate and direct, cutting through the dense instrumentation with purpose. The guitars twist and lurch between dissonance and groove, while the rhythm section keeps everything locked in just enough to stop it from completely spiraling. It’s that push and pull that’s always made 156/Silence stand out, and here, it feels sharper than ever.
The accompanying video pushes things even further. Built around a high-octane chase sequence, it feels just as frantic and unrelenting as the track itself. There’s no filler here, just constant motion, tension, and a sense that everything could fall apart at any second. It’s chaotic in the best way, matching the song’s aggression frame for frame.
What makes it land is how well it mirrors the music. Every turn, every cut, every moment of impact lines up with the track’s intensity, making the whole thing feel like one continuous adrenaline rush. It’s raw, it’s fast, and honestly, it’s just rad.
With From A Distance, 156/Silence look poised to expand on the raw foundation they’ve built while refining it into something even more deliberate. If this first release is setting the tone, the album won’t just be heavy, it’ll be intentional.
Pre-orders for From A Distance are available now, ahead of its September 4 release via Pure Noise Records.
