WORM RELEASE “WITCHMOON – THE INFERNAL MASQUERADE” FEAT. MARTY FRIEDMAN

WORM has unleashed a towering new track titled “Witchmoon – The Infernal Masquerade,” a 14-minute descent into ritualistic doom that features a guest appearance from legendary guitarist Marty Friedman. It’s an ambitious, slow-burning statement that fully commits to atmosphere, tension, and scale.

Pulled from the band’s forthcoming album Necropalace, due out February 13 via Century Media, the track unfolds patiently, moving like a dark procession rather than a conventional song. Crawling riffs, cavernous low end, and suffocating ambience dominate, allowing the full runtime to feel intentional rather than indulgent. Friedman’s lead work weaves in and out of the murk, adding moments of melodic clarity and eerie elegance without breaking the spell.

WORM has always operated in worlds, not singles, and “Witchmoon – The Infernal Masquerade” feels like a full chapter rather than a teaser. The collaboration with Friedman never feels gimmicky. Instead, it heightens the sense of ceremony, blending his unmistakable touch with WORM’s oppressive, blackened doom aesthetic.

If this 14-minute epic is any indication, Necropalace is shaping up to be a defining release. Expansive, punishing, and immersive, WORM is leaning fully into its vision, and when the album arrives on February 13, it’s clear they’ll be asking listeners not just to hear it, but to endure it.
