156/SILENCE ANNOUNCE SIGNING TO PURE NOISE RECORDS AND DROP NEW SINGLE “OUR PARTING WAYS”
Pittsburgh metalcore bruisers 156/Silence have officially joined the Pure Noise Records roster—and they’re wasting no time showing the world why. Alongside the announcement, the band unleashed their brand-new single and music video, “Our Parting Ways,” a crushing yet melodic gut-punch that feels like a rebirth.
The track opens with a haunting atmosphere before collapsing into the kind of chaotic, emotionally charged aggression that 156/Silence have made their calling card. Vocalist Jack Murray howls with pure catharsis, channeling heartbreak and frustration into something brutally honest. The band’s signature blend of hardcore energy, metal precision, and post-hardcore tension is on full display—dense, unpredictable, and dripping with feeling.
The music video, directed by Eric Richter, mirrors that emotional weight with stark visuals that balance violence and vulnerability. It’s cinematic but raw—fitting for a band that’s built their name on truth and intensity rather than polish.
“Our Parting Ways” marks a major chapter for 156/Silence. After years of grinding in the underground scene with releases like Irrational Pull and Narrative, the partnership with Pure Noise feels like the natural next step—one that will undoubtedly put them in front of a larger audience without losing their edge.
Speaking about the signing, the band said they’re “ready to take this to the next level” and that the new material will push both their sound and message further than ever before. If this single is any indication, 156/Silence are stepping into their most powerful era yet—unflinching, emotionally devastating, and fully in control of their chaos.
“Our Parting Ways” is streaming everywhere now via Pure Noise Records, accompanied by the official video on YouTube.
