WE DEMAND PARACHUTES RETURNS WITH POP-PUNK ANTHEM “CARAMEL MACCHIATO (CHUGGY)”

Pop-punk bands have a lot of ground to cover when introducing themselves to the genre, but We Demand Parachutes is bold, fearless, and ready for the task. After some time, they’re returning with a new single called “Caramel Macchiato (Chuggy),” and it RULES.

Pop-punk can get extremely tired very quickly. Bands that want to sound like the next State Champs can quickly formulate their compositions to replicate a familiar sound. We Demand Parachutes refuse to do this; they write with a free-flowing flair that sets them apart.

There are nods to traditional pop-punk techniques, like the guitar work at the forefront of the mix. However, the song leans more self-aware than self-deprecating, despite recognizing one’s failures to improve in the future.

The song is fun and relatable. Although the band may be demanding parachutes, they also command our attention.
