VOLBEAT RETURN WITH MASSIVE NEW ALBUM ‘GOD OF ANGELS TRUST’

Danish rock band Volbeat has announced their ninth studio album, God of Angels Trust, set for release on June 6, 2025, via Vertigo/Universal. The band has also unveiled the lead single, "By a Monster's Hand," accompanied by an official music video.

Lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist and primary songwriter Michael Poulsen had this to say about the new album: "In the past, I've taken a long time to write and obsessed over so many elements of the songs before finishing them," says Poulsen. "This time, I wanted to make a Volbeat record without thinking too much about it. Instead of following any structure I said, 'Okay, there are no rules. I can do anything I want. I can start with a chorus or do songs that are just a bunch of verses stacked on top of each other. Anything goes.' That was freeing for me and made it exciting to write this album."

The music video for "By a Monster's Hand" showcases Volbeat's energetic performance, interwoven with a narrative featuring a familiar yet unsettling character. The video is available to stream on YouTube. Watch below!

In support of the new album, Volbeat will embark on the "Greatest Of All Tours Worldwide" tour, covering North America and Europe. The North American leg kicks off on June 7 in Vancouver, BC, with Halestorm and The Ghost Inside as supporting acts. The tour will also feature European and UK performances, concluding on November 13 in London.

Pre-orders for God of Angels Trust are available now, with exclusive pre-sale ticket access for fans who pre-order the album by March 9. General ticket sales begin on March 14 at 10 a.m. local time. Click HERE to order the album!

God of Angels Trust follows Volbeat's 2021 album, Servant of the Mind, and continues collaborating with producer Jacob Hansen.
