THORNHILL UNLEASHES EXPLOSIVE NEW SINGLE “TONGUES” AHEAD OF UPCOMING ALBUM ‘BODIES’

Australian metalcore band Thornhill has released their latest single, "TONGUES," the final preview before their third studio album, BODIES, scheduled for release on April 4 via UNFD.

"TONGUES" exemplifies Thornhill's dynamic musical approach, balancing intense aggression with measured restraint. This track continues the thematic exploration in their previous single, "Silver Swarm," which delved into the complexities of manipulation and emotional turmoil within toxic relationships.

BODIES signifies a bold evolution in Thornhill's sound, embracing a more immediate and unfiltered approach than their previous conceptually driven album, Heroine. Vocalist Jacob Charlton describes the new record as capturing the band's raw energy, offering listeners a visceral and open-ended experience.

Speaking on the new track, Thornhill shares:

"‘TONGUES’ explores the tension of being pulled between opposing forces—desire and resistance, surrender and defiance. In many ways, it reflects our own relationship with heavy music, the push and pull between being consumed by it or resisting its grip. The song’s atmosphere feels like an ongoing battle, shifting between aggression and restraint. Lines like ‘turning your tongue in two’ and ‘fingernails down the walls’ heighten this conflict, evoking the struggle to commit or break free.”

In support of the new album, Thornhill has announced their first-ever North American headline tour, set to commence on April 11, 2025, at The Echo in Los Angeles. The tour will feature supporting acts AVOID, Ocean Grove, and Banks Arcade. Tickets are available through the band's official channels.

Fans can experience "TONGUES" across major streaming platforms and anticipate the release of BODIES on April 4. The album is available for pre-order now. Click HERE to cop it!
