VANA’S “LADY IN RED” TOUR IGNITES CHICAGO WITH REDHOOK, DEADLANDS & CHANDLER LEIGHTON

‍Welcome back to another segment of the Get Some Magazine party bus. Tonight we venture to Chicago's Bottom Lounge, where the excitement vibe is going to be off the charts. Vana's The Lady in Red tour, featuring Chandler Leighton, Deadlands, and Redhook, has been packing venues on this run, and as always, we are here to catch the action firsthand. Let’s get to the action with this capacity crowd expected to tear the roof off this venue.

First up tonight was RedHook from Sydney, Australia, making their first tour of the United States. The band led by singer Emmy Mac is definitely one to keep on your radar. From start to finish, RedHook got the crowd jumping and warmed up for the night. We can definitely see why it was chosen as a solid opener. Their 9-song set included “All Panic No Disco,” “HEXXX,” and “Bad Decisions.”

Second to the stage is Deadlands, who have been on our need to see A.S.A.P list for a while now. The crowd was pumped and ready to go as they headed into their first song, “Villain,” and the energy never stopped through the set. Lead singer Kasey Karlson hypnotizes you with her angelic cleans, and then will throat punch you with demonic lows. Mosh pits opened up quite frequently throughout this set. The set featured songs like “Die In Paradise”, “MORE!” and “House of Cards.”

Next up is Chandler Leighton, who was raw, emotional, and mesmerizing. We came into this night not knowing much about Chandler, but left feeling more connected to her and the emotions she was expressing through her music. We could see that all fans were into this set from start to finish. Some of the songs in this set were “F Off,” “Wasted Potential,” and “Waiting for You to Heal.” After the first 3 epic bands, this crowd was pumped and begging for more!

Now, for the grand finale of the night, VANA, her blend of pop and metal, is just what the doctor ordered to put a smile on your face. Her catchy beats and mix of clean vocals and screamy screams kept the crowd begging for more. From start to finish, fans were entranced and dancing through this set. Starting with her song “Pray”, and moving through an eleven-song set featuring “HARLEQUIN!”, “BITE BACK”, “BEG!” and “Clandestine.” This crowd gave every ounce of energy they had to these bands, and the bands gave it back 10-fold.

All 4 ladies kept the crowd jumping all night. No one in this packed house stopped dancing and singing the whole time. Shows along this tour are filling up quickly, so you'd better hurry up and get yourselves tickets to an amazing show. This is one that will not disappoint.  We were always excited to be a part of the epic evening, and all bands here were a first for us, and as always, they blew the roof off this Chicago venue.
