TREASURE MAZE’S NEW SINGLE “LOST MY LIGHT” IS SHEER METALCORE MADNESS
Treasure Maze is a one-man project that somehow hits like a full band firing on all cylinders. It pulls from the crunch and technicality of metalcore, blends it with the hook-heavy bounce of early 2000s nu metal, and layers in genuinely emotional, melodic vocals.
Their latest single, “Lost My Light,” leans hard into that mix. It’s packed with early 2000s metalcore riffs that flow seamlessly into massive, hook-driven choruses. The rhythm section is tight and punchy, locking into sharp starts and stops that give the track a real sense of movement.
While the guitars carry that familiar Ozzfest-era weight, it’s the vocals that really pull you in. There’s a classic push and pull between clean singing and screams, giving the track that ‘good cop, bad cop’ dynamic that always hits when it’s done right.
Lyrically, “Lost My Light” centers on pushing through personal struggles. Musically, it feels built for movement, something you’d lose your mind to in a pit.
With this release, Treasure Maze makes a strong case that guitar-driven heavy music still has plenty of life left in it.
