Mid 20s - don’t really know what the f*** you are doing - highly ambitious but severely disappointed?

Sounds like you may have entered the ironically titled yet highly relatable ‘Sunshine Lounge’. The Silver Bars introduce their new single “The Sunshine Lounge” and first track from their debut EP “No Luxuries” speaking on “the areas of one's mind where ambition and self-reflection take up occupancy”.

Through a rather upbeat indie-rock backdrop of dreamy guitar tones and space-like keys, The Silver Bars explore feelings of isolation, self-doubt, and more specifically how fear can lead us astray from our goals whilst also inspiring creativity - albeit from those dark places. On the top layer, we hear lead singer Dylan Grafton explore all facets of his voice, effortlessly switching from his natural charismatic tone to heavenly falsettos and aggressive screams well-characterizing the contemplative single.

The single signals the band's natural development across UK lockdown measures with the group in part virtually bonding over influences from the likes of The Strokes, Radiohead and Everything Everything. The new single blends various sub-genres of rock and indie music crafting a thunderous and skilfully arranged modern indie rock record.
