“THE RIGHT WRONG” BY THE FEELING ENCOURAGES NUANCE

The Feeling, a pop group based in the UK, makes dancey radio hits with a powerful message. Frontman Dan Gillespie Sells’ non-traditional upbringing has given him a profound perspective, loosening his viewpoints of what is right or wrong, implying that nuance is king in most scenarios.

Allowing others to do what feels best for them, as long as it doesn’t harm anyone else, is the recurring theme in The Feeling’s new song, “The Right Wrong.” Gillespie Sells’ asserts that everyone has a unique path, and that path should not be judged by others who are not spending a day in their shoes. Differences make the world more interesting, for the most part!

“The Right Wrong” features a conventional pop format, yet the sonic choices are still interesting enough to pay attention to the song’s important meaning. The group’s inclination to stick to pop-friendly structures and sounds could be extremely helpful in getting their mission statement heard by huge, global audiences.
