The Day has a gorgeous new music video for their single, “We Killed Our Hearts.” Sonically, the track is a delightful slice of indie-pop magic. Inviting guitars, serene vocals, and a solid, dare we say, air drum worthy backbeat. The tune’s lyrical content and accompanying music video however is a bit of a downer [as the song’s title might suggest] but damn if the cinematography in this clip isn’t absolutely spellbinding. Shot on 16mm film, the video depicts individuals alone in isolated scenarios, dealing with loss and heartbreak. Basically, the perfect encapsulation of 2020 in video format!
