Hide your beers and prepare your eardrums. The Chats are returning to North America, bringing their unapologetically rowdy brand of Australian punk rock with them.
The Queensland trio have announced a massive 30-date headline tour beginning April 7, 2027, marking another Pacific-crossing trip for a band built on blistering live performances, ridiculous humor, and songs that rarely overstay their welcome.
Since breaking through with their gloriously ridiculous anthem “Smoko,” The Chats have become one of punk rock's most entertaining exports. Their stripped-down, no-nonsense approach draws on classic Australian pub rock and old-school punk, delivering fast guitars, pounding drums, and lyrics that celebrate life's everyday absurdities.
While plenty of bands take themselves a little too seriously, The Chats have built an entire career on doing the exact opposite.
Their upcoming North American run promises another round of sweaty venues, beer-soaked singalongs, and the unfiltered energy that makes their shows a must-see for punk fans. Whether you've followed them since their early days or only recently discovered their music, seeing The Chats live is practically a rite of passage.
The band has also confirmed plans to bring the party to the UK and Europe in fall 2027, ensuring their particular brand of Australian mischief won't be confined to this side of the Atlantic.
