DONEFOR TEAM WITH BOWLING FOR SOUP’S JARET REDDICK ON POP-PUNK BANGER “WARM PBR”
On “WARM PBR,” DONEFOR get to live out the kind of moment most bands dream about. The Florida outfit teamed up with Bowling For Soup’s Jaret Reddick for a collaboration they describe as a dream come true, and you can hear that excitement throughout the track.
“WARM PBR” is energetic and upbeat in true pop-punk fashion, driven by pounding drums, melodic vocals, and enough heaviness to bring DONEFOR’s metalcore side into the mix. Reddick fits naturally into the song, bridging the gap between the pop-punk these guys grew up on and the heavier music they’re making today.
But the best part is the story behind it. Imagine being a kid hearing “1985” on the radio, dreaming about starting your own band and wondering what it would be like to do this for real. Then years later, you’re standing in the studio with the guy who sang it, making a song together.
That’s pretty damn cool.
At its heart, “WARM PBR” is about those moments when the ridiculous dreams you had growing up somehow become reality. It’s a reminder to keep chasing them because every once in a while, you might actually end up exactly where you pictured yourself.
And if that moment involves Jaret Reddick, a killer pop-punk song, and a warm PBR backstage, even better.
Kudos, DONEFOR. You guys did it.
