SPARE KID HIT A HOME RUN WITH EMOTIONAL POP PUNK ANTHEM “SEPARATION”

Spare Kid is a Belgium band from the ‘middle of nowhere’. Spare Kid is back with a pop punk single “Separation”, released on September 22. This song will be featured on their debut album “Trouble Maker” that is scheduled to be released on November 18.  This album will have a mixture of post hardcore and pop punk discography.

“Separation” highlights the refusal to be contained to a single sub-genre of music, with its pop punk sound and emo undertones. Spare Kid is looking to bring that connection between heartfelt lyrics, and raw emotions that will choke you up in the middle of a breakdown. This song floats between being aggressive and catchy, with its fast tempo and relentless guitars, it feels like you absolutely have to listen to “Separation” on full blast. 

This song proves that you don't have to dress everything up in metaphors, it's honest and frustrating. The lyrics convey what it's like to be stuck in the aftermath of relationships ending, or to just have a bunch of space between one another, whether that is distance or words left unsaid. 

Accompanied with a music video, it shows how unserious pop punk really is. Spare Kid is posted up in a baseball field with their instruments, and the cameras pan back and forth between the members playing in obscure places. There's nothing more pop punk than singing about your feelings in the middle of a baseball pitch.
