SOME DAYS ARE DARKER JUMP IN WITH NEW SINGLE “MEMORIZE YOU”

New York City gothic rock outfit Some Days Are Darker is back with their haunting new single “Memorize You,” released September 18. Originally formed in Phoenix, Arizona, the band has been serenading listeners with its dark, atmospheric sound since 2019. After delivering the thrilling “Unbroken” earlier this year, they return ready to make even bigger waves.

“Memorize You” opens with a simple guitar rhythm before an eerie synth beat slowly creeps into the mix. The instrumentation pulls you deeper as the first verse arrives, carried by raspy vocals and an unmistakable sense of dark, aching yearning.

The chorus swells with emotion as the song begins weaving a web between romance and something far more sinister. Lyrics like “I want to memorize you, your freckles and scars” quickly give way to the considerably darker “I wanna be the reason for your demise.” There’s a fine line between desire and obsession, and Some Days Are Darker are playing double dutch with it.
