“SO WELL” BY ARTIST SWISS. IS AN INSPIRING AND RELATABLE TRACK

SWISS. just released a new inspirational track titled “So Well”, which reflects on growth and the journey of being in a better place mentally and physically. Ever heard of Hopecore? Hopecore is an “aesthetic and philosophy based on hope and humanity." This new track is hopecore-coded.

The song, from my point of view, talks of a relationship that seems to be going nowhere, with lyrics like:

“…And I wanted nothing more than to eat your words and pick your brain…

…And I wanted nothing more than to be a part of your team.”

It seems to tell the story of the one-sided love story we are all familiar with: the “what could have been," the longing and hope we hang onto for a person to choose us and let us be part of their life.

The song is catchy with the chorus repeating, “You’re doing so well,” into your brain for most of the song, almost to convince the listener and artist herself that she is doing so well with or without the person, loving yourself and putting yourself first. The constant repetition of the chorus seems to feel like a pep talk we routinely memorize and give ourselves in front of a mirror when all hope is lost. The song itself is greatly produced and deserves to be heard. Tell me your thoughts, and remember, you’re doing so well.
