It’s official, Sixth Wonder have just dropped one of the most pummeling tracks of the year! Their new single, “Thorn,” is a beautifully devastating tune. We’re talking monster Djent riffage layered atop intricate double bass drum patterns, and vocalist Rebekah Kirk holding down the fort with crushing bad cop vocals and other-worldly good cop croons. This mixture of extreme metal musicianship with infectious pop sensibilities pushes Sixth Wonder’s sound into the stratosphere. Perhaps the only thing sharper than the band’s performances is the song’s outstanding production quality. “Thorn” quite literally sounds like a million bucks and demands several replays.
