SHORELINE RELEASES A BUZZING NEW SINGLE “FORGIVE (FT. KNUCKLE PUCK)”

German DIYers Shorline became well acquainted with Knuckle Puck’s Joe Taylor after touring together last year. Their collaborative effort, a single called “Forgive (ft. Knuckle Puck),” features strong builds, a driven chorus, and ambient string sections that fill out the mix.

The single offers a strong lead vocal performance, backed by a few layers, adding a gritty texture emphasizing harrowing emotion. There is a distinct balance within its pacing; it slows down exactly where it needs to, right before a massive chorus after the bridge.

Joe Taylor’s voice blends well with Hansol Seung, deepening the contrast and heightening the stakes. It feels like life or death, as relationship changes and challenges often do. The layered vocals have a raw grit, overlapping like colors in a painting.

“Forgive ft. Knuckle Puck” by Shoreline is perfectly post-emo; it surrenders to the genre’s famous vulnerability while utilizing realism within its lyrics as leverage, culminating into a powerhouse collaborative effort.
