The New Jersey-born emo rockers in Senses Fail have released new music. Titled “Lush Rimbaugh”, the track is a raw, bitter, and incredibly catchy tune that takes jabs at the recently deceased Rush Limbaugh.

On Wednesday, Feb 17th, the controversial and ultra-conservative radio host lost his battle with advanced lung cancer.

Ever since Limbaugh came to prominence with his off-the-cusp antics, the radio host has garnered a trail of both lovers and haters. From his past misogynistic and racist remarks, the right-wing icon has seen his fair share of fallout, and Senses Fail was quick to sound off their opinion.

Titled “Lush Rimbaugh”, the track marks the first new music from Senses Fail since 2018.

Buddy Nielsen said in a Twitter post on Wednesday night, “I used to write songs about killing women and people are offended I wrote a song about not caring Rush Limbaugh died.”

The untamed and vicious new song is full of lyrics that showcase Nielsen and Senses Fail’s feelings towards the deceased radio host.

“You spend your whole life trying to make others feel bad for things they can’t control,” Nielsen sings. “And now you’re dying clinging on to all the things you tell yourself but you know in your soul, you will be forgotten. You will be forgotten like the snow and the ice while basking in a warm summer sun.”

Fans are anticipating Senses Fail’s next album to drop sometime this year. Back in January 2020, the emo rockers revealed they had entered the studio to work on their eighth studio album.
