SEA GLASS AND MADGE TEAM UP TO MAKE NEW DREAM-POP SINGLE “PENCILS”

New York-based producer Sea Glass has partnered with Madge to create the new single “Pencils.” This true bedroom-dream-pop masterpiece will give you that *floating feeling* from the first guitar strum as soon as it starts to the very end. Squeaky, clean guitars and emotional synths will take you through the layers of Madge’s intoxicating melodies and velvety vocals. This song feels so refreshing and …GOOD. The lyrical structure takes the listener along in a way that feels like we are reading Madge’s heartfelt word vomit in letter format. They discuss the complicated feelings of wanting to feel something real with someone but not wanting to prolong it or make it too serious.

Sea Glass (Jake Muskat) tells us: “This song is a couple of years in the making. I wrote the demo right after I wrapped what became my first LP. In 2023, I went to SXSW, thinking I'd find someone to sing on the song. That didn't happen, so I sent it around to artists I could hear singing on it. I got unanimously good feedback, but no one jumped on board. A year or more later, I got linked up with Madge by a mutual friend to work on something together.”

“Pencils” is for fans of Beach House, Mac DeMarco, CoCo, and Clair Clair.
