THE BOBBY LEES ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM ‘NEW SELF’ OUT JUNE 12 VIA EPITAPH RECORDS

Garage punk chaos merchants The Bobby Lees have announced their upcoming album New Self, due out June 12 via Epitaph Records. Alongside the announcement, the band has dropped the album’s title track and a new music video for “New Self,” offering the first look at the energy behind the upcoming record.

The track itself is classic Bobby Lees. Jagged guitars crash into pounding drums while the vocals cut through with raw urgency and attitude. “New Self” barrels forward with a scrappy garage punk edge that feels both reckless and tightly locked in, proving once again that the band thrives on controlled chaos.

Lyrically, the song leans into themes of transformation and identity, capturing the push and pull between who you were and who you are becoming. There’s a sense of restless momentum running through the track, like the band is leaning directly into the messy process of change rather than trying to clean it up.

The video perfectly mirrors that spirit. Shot inside what looks like a Motel 8-style roadside motel room, the setting feels intentionally gritty and offbeat. The cramped room becomes the band’s stage as they tear through the song with the same unpredictable energy that defines their sound. At one point, the drummer appears rocking sparkly underpants, adding a surreal and hilarious twist to the already chaotic performance.

With New Self arriving June 12 via Epitaph Records, The Bobby Lees look ready to unleash another record packed with loud, unruly rock and roll.

The video for “New Self” is out now, with the full album landing June 12. Preorder it HERE!
