ROMAN CANDLE ANNOUNCE DEBUT ALBUM UNADULTERATED, DROP “BLASPHEMOUS ACT”

Roman Candle are going straight for the jugular, and then some.

On March 17, the Las Vegas quartet dropped their new single “Blasphemous Act” alongside the announcement of their debut album Unadulterated, out April 24 via Sumerian Records.

“Blasphemous Act” wasn’t even supposed to land like this. It came together at the very end of the album sessions and basically forced its way onto the record. You can feel that all over it. The track sounds like it’s barely contained, raw vocals, sharp shifts, everything teetering right on the edge. By the time it locks into that repeated “run for your life” refrain, it just detonates.

Piper explained that while the title came from a Magic: The Gathering card, the song quickly took on a life of its own. Lines like “your neck in my teeth is all that I need” and “karma is owed, paid in full” tap into something way more primal than anything else they’ve done. It’s unhinged in the best way.

The video is pure chaos in the best way. Fully performance-based, no storyline to hide behind, just high energy from start to finish. It feels like the band is about to come out of the screen at any second. No filler, just go.

This marks the seventh single Roman Candle has released since signing to Sumerian Records, following “Fire In The Night Sky Forever.” “This Band Has Led Me To Places I Wouldn’t Go With A Gun,” “Nothing Is Original,” “Bite Harder Than You Bleed,” and “Lady Lazarus.” Each one has pushed further into the emotional extremes that Unadulterated seems built on, no compromise, no mercy, just fully committing to whatever this band is trying to get out.

As far as debuts go, Unadulterated feels like a statement more than an introduction. The name fits. Nothing polished, nothing held back. All fking go.
