DANNY HOWARD AND EJECA COLLABORATE ON DEEP HOUSE GEM “DREAMS”
Dance music veterans Danny Howard and Ejeca have teamed up for the first time on a mesmerizing deep-house single titled “Dreams”, released via Factory 93 Records. The track marks a powerful statement of intent from both artists, drawing from the golden era of 1990s house while remaining firmly rooted in today’s underground scene.
“Dreams” unfolds with a subtle, organic groove built on understated percussion, lush ambient textures, and hypnotic vocal cadences that pull you into its warm, immersive world. It’s a masterful exercise in tone and restraint, less about flashing production tricks and more about creating space to breathe, sway, and feel.
Ejeca, also known as Trance Wax, is celebrated for blending vintage influences with modern sensibilities. His career spans releases on respected labels like Gudu and Yom Tum, earning acclaim from artists such as Solomun and Barry Can’t Swim. Danny Howard, having moved from his radio beginnings on BBC Radio 1 to commanding global dance floors, brings both sharp A&R vision and longtime club credibility to the collaboration.
Of the creative process, Ejeca explains, “Danny came over to my studio at the start of the summer, and we tried to focus on pure house music. ‘Dreams’ is deep and organic, a bit like how house music was made in the ’90s. It’s a track for proper house DJs that want a track they can build a set with and set a tone.”
Fred Glassman at The Groove Cartel frames it well: while Carl Cox and Eliza Rose take us into anthem territory, Ejeca and Howard deliver the other side of the dance world, intimate, groove-led, and timeless.
