Nashville's alternative rock scene has another band worth watching. Pilot Fish have released their new single, “Jenny,” through HISS Recordings, the discovery-focused label founded by acclaimed producer Nick Raskulinecz. The release also arrives with an accompanying music video and a B-side, “Don’t You Ever.”
Best known for producing rock heavyweights including Foo Fighters, Deftones, Rush, and Alice in Chains, Raskulinecz has spent decades shaping the sound of modern rock. With HISS Recordings, he's turning his attention toward discovering and supporting emerging artists, giving promising bands a platform to reach audiences beyond their local scenes.
Pilot Fish are the latest act to step into that spotlight. Their new single “Jenny” is the third release from HISS Recordings, continuing the label's mission to champion fresh talent in an industry that could certainly use more opportunities to develop rock bands.

The release offers listeners more than just a standalone single. Alongside “Jenny,” Pilot Fish also includes “Don't You Ever,” giving fans another chance to explore the band's musical identity. An accompanying music video adds a visual element.
For a city historically associated with country music, Nashville continues to prove that its musical identity stretches far beyond cowboy boots and pedal steel guitars. The city's alternative and independent rock communities have been steadily building momentum, and Pilot Fish is another name to add to the conversation.
With a producer whose résumé includes some of the biggest names in heavy music backing them, Pilot Fish have an opportunity to reach a much wider audience. More importantly, HISS Recordings' artist-first approach puts the focus where it belongs: discovering new music and giving emerging bands a chance to be heard.
