Movements brought their headlining Happier Now Tour to one of my favorite Chicago venues, The Salt Shed, alongside Balance and Composure, Midrift, and NIIS for a night filled with unmatched energy and a full range of emotions.
NIIS kicked things off, warming up the crowd before Midrift and Balance and Composure continued building anticipation for Movements to take the stage. Each band complemented the others perfectly, creating a lineup that catered to the fans who came out and setting the tone for an incredible evening.
As always, Movements delivered an amazing performance, blending fan favorites with plenty of material from their latest album. Patrick Miranda's vocals never cease to amaze me. Every time I see the band live, he brings a raw emotional intensity that you can feel throughout the performance, creating a genuine connection with the audience.
The crowd's energy was equally impressive, moving effortlessly between moments of sadness, happiness, and everything in between. That emotional range is part of what makes a Movements show so special. One moment, the room is overflowing with energy, and the next, everyone is completely immersed in the music.
Working this show was a wonderful experience. The stage lighting across all four bands was flawless, perfectly complementing the atmosphere and each performance's vibe. A special shoutout also goes to the hardworking staff at The Salt Shed for creating such a safe and welcoming environment.
Witnessing the connection between each band and their audience made the night truly special. From the opening set to the final moments of Movements' performance, it reminded us how powerful live music can be when artists and fans are completely in sync.
