Mancunian indie-rock band Pacific return with their third single of the year “State of Mind”. The band is composed of brothers Anthony and Daniel Orzel alongside guitarist Dave Bithell and drummer Drew Burns. The group has previously seen some great success with the support of Huw Stephens of BBC Radio 1, BBC Introducing, as well as featuring on Apples Music’s ‘Breaking Rock’ editorial playlist. For their latest effort, the rising piano indie-rock band recorded with Kaiser Chiefs producer David Watts creating an energetic anthem.

“State of Mind” kicks off with a building piano introduction and Anthony’s powerhouse vocals before erupting into a more hard-hitting rockier fashion. The new single builds upon their unique blend of indie and alternative rock, sounding somewhere between the likes of Muse and Keane. Speaking on the new single, the group advises the record “encapsulates all the second-guessing & indecision that’s prevalent in everyday life, boldly calling out for a more dependable state of mind to bring clarity into one’s headspace.”

Pacific carries an electrifying ballad-like sound, unique in its presence and open to appeal to a variety of tastes. The bands’ previous streaming success has shown that they are able to cater to a wide audience and have big plans ahead with a headline show at Gorilla, Manchester set for 5th March 2021.
