DOWN BOY TEASES NEW FUNK/GROOVE TRACK "CAN'T HELP MYSELF"

Down boy is set out to release their new album ‘Let Go’ on October 31st, and one of their newest singles “Can’t help myself” is already one of the many songs that I’ll be playing on repeat.

Albeit, it is the first time listening to this band, their music surprised me greatly simply because of the amount of gospel they were preaching just in one song. Notes of some jazz, funk, and rock were incorporated and the bridge goes insanely hard. Makes me want to headbang a little.

Even though it’s meant to be a slow groove to enjoy at a club accompanied by a cigar and a fedora on your head, this track still contains that old rock n roll feel to it, which makes it the perfect song. A good song that takes you on a long excursion talking about addiction and the deadness without the drugs, all that to bring you back to the start. A perfect funk voyage from this trio that makes the spirit surrender to something much greater than yourself; it will convince the undead to dance in their graves for one last time until they are laid to rest again.
