OXYMORRONS COME OUT SWINGING WITH EXPLOSIVE NEW SINGLE “BOMBS OVER GAZA”

New York genre disruptors Oxymorrons are back with explosive new single “Bombs Over Gaza,” the first taste of their forthcoming album, Mohawks & Durags 2: Project Big Apple.

Released September 18, the track finds Oxymorrons doing what they do best: tearing down the walls between genres. Hip-hop, punk, hardcore, alternative rock,, and Latin rhythms collide in a high-energy track that is infectious while tackling something considerably heavier. “Bombs Over Gaza” channels the anger and frustration of watching a world increasingly shaped by war and division, turning that energy into something loud, chaotic, and impossible to sit still through.

The song takes inspiration from the fearless creative spirit of OutKast’s iconic “B.O.B. (Bombs Over Baghdad),” one of Oxymorrons’ biggest influences. Rather than attempting to recreate the track, the band wanted to tap into that same sense of creative freedom and reinterpret it through their own lens more than 25 years later.

The result feels distinctly Oxymorrons: politically aware, wildly unpredictable and incredibly fun at the same time. It’s frustration and anger transformed into something you can actually move to.

That energy carries directly into the official music video, shot at Substance Skate Park in Brooklyn and directed and produced by VRTU Presents, Urban Soul Productions, and ATTN Deficit. Cast in collaboration with Melanated Alt and Rock-HipHop culture curators Let ME Rock, the visual brings together a room full of Black and BIPOC punks as Oxymorrons rip through a wild performance surrounded by dancing, moshing, skating, and complete chaos.

It’s a fitting visual for a band that has never been interested in fitting neatly into one scene, sound, or box.
