ODDNESSE RELEASES NEW SINGLE "HOT AIR" TO NARRATE YOUR DREAMS
Rebeca Arango is the mastermind behind dream pop’s oddnesse. Their new single "hot air" is filled with dreamy guitar and funky bass lines. Glittering synth sounds are sprinkled throughout. The themed out break- up song follows the beat of its own drum. "I think there is a tendency to judge abstract lyrics as less meaningful, less emotional, less accessible. While this song doesn't deal with earthly relatable matters of love and loss, to me it's just as meaningful as some of my popular break-up songs", says the song-writer.
The song takes you on a brisk run in the wintertime, an experience that Arango personally enjoys. Arango's voice narrates your chilly experience as cold air burns in your lungs and you are pushed further in your self-betterment. "These lyrics contemplate dreams and death and our relationship with the Universe, conjuring fear and majesty, taking a playful approach to the unknown. Ultimately it's a song about transformation and spiritual travel and vastness", says Arango.
