HOUSE OF BLUES ANAHEIM PACKED WALL TO WALL FOR AVIANA, CASKETS, CURRENTS, AND ERRA

Before you even got inside the House of Blues Anaheim, you could feel it. The parking structure was already filling up early, which almost never happens unless people actually care about every band on the bill. By the time doors opened, it was clear this wasn’t a wait for the headliner kind of night. The room stayed packed and loud the whole way through.
Aviana kicked things off with a dark, almost eerie presence. They leaned into it too with subtle, off-kilter movements that made the set feel a little unsettling in a good way. It didn’t take long for pits to open up, and from that point on, the tone was set.
Caskets came in more controlled, but didn’t lose the crowd. Their set felt tighter, more measured, but still heavy enough to keep things moving. It worked as a reset without killing the energy.
Currents easily hit one of the highest points of the night. The floor was jammed, people moving nonstop, crowd surfers flying over constantly. It felt chaotic but focused. There were real emotional moments in there, too, not just noise. At one point, bubbles started floating through the air and caught the lights just right. Looked like diamonds hanging over the crowd. One of those moments you don’t plan but won’t forget.
Then ERRA closed it out and pulled everything together. By then, the room was fully locked in. Fans pressed to the barricade, everyone moving in sync, no drop off in energy. Their lighting setup stood out immediately, clean, intentional, and actually added something to the performance instead of just flashing around.
From a photo standpoint, it was one of those nights that’s equal parts fun and a headache. Lighting was solid overall, but there were pockets where it just disappeared, which made certain shots tough. Add in a packed floor and constant crowd surfers, and you’re basically shooting in controlled chaos. Still, sets from Currents and ERRA offered the best opportunities, with the best movement, lighting, and everything lined up.
End of the night, it felt like one of those shows where every band showed up, and the crowd gave it right back. No weak spots, no waiting around. Just straight through.
