NOELLE SUCKS REFLECTS ON RELATIONSHIPS IN NEW SINGLE “BETTER BITTER”

We’ve all been there. Relationship trauma is so bad that we just swear them off entirely. Am I projecting? Probably. Always. Regardless, it’s a shared human experience, and our friend Noelle Sucks explains it perfectly in her song, “Better Bitter.” Though the single proves itself to be far more than a breakup anthem.

Noelle touches on some tough topics. Even if you’ve never had a bad breakup, you may have experienced depression at some point. Her song definitely relates to those ideas, too. She articulates “cancelling plans” and losing interest in hobbies. Days begin to feel like The Truman Show and Groundhog Day had a weird baby.

Those who have struggled mentally can, sadly, relate to these ideas.

It’s tempting to want to go back to being “better bitter” (try saying that 5x fast…).

However, Noelle also questions: “Is healing supposed to make you numb?”

You can hear the frustration in her voice as she describes the repetition in her days when she’s in this state, an expert-level performance choice.

She understands that it’s easy — almost too easy — to sit in the discomfort of familiar pains.

So, perhaps the single isn’t necessarily encouraging anyone to be “Better Bitter.” Instead, it enables us to try anyway. Most of us are doing it scared. Noelle is just brave enough to admit it.
